“Some online are already calling it the best Halftime Show of all time.”
(HOLLYWOOD, CA) Music News: The Super Bowl 56 halftime show was a star-studded event featuring plenty of well-known musicians including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and of course 50 Cent.
A few other special guests made some appearances as well, such as 50 Cent. 50 Cent came out and performed upside down, a callback to his classic In Da Club music video. Anderson .Paak also made a brief appearance on the drums, performing alongside Eminem later in the act.
The halftime show was somewhat centered around hip hop icon Dr. Dre. All four of the other artists have collaborated with Dre, with three of the performers all showing up on Dre’s album “2001.” Below is IssuesMatter live reaction to the halftime show as well as other social media reaction from the performance.
As we know Dr Dre needs no introduction but it was the other performances that brung the house down like Miss no hateration Mary j Blige, Mary came out with her glitter suit on and brung the house down singing two of her number one hits to the super bowl crowd.
And by the time slim shady a/k/a Eminem hit the stage the crowd was already hype he made it no better by singing his Grammy award-winning song ‘Lose yourself’ from his highly anticipated movie 7 Mile. His performance was followed by his protege and hip-Hop producers/icon Dr Dre.
Super bowl 56 Pepsi halftime show definitely lived up to its expectation with many stars taken to Twitter and boasting about how great of a show Dr Dre and crew put on. No doubt we hoping that this could be the beginning of a new relationship between the NFL and hip Hop. Hopefully this will be the beginning of more hip hop artist headlining the big event in the future.
