Keisha Lance Bottoms Was Turned Away From Atlanta Restaurant For Wearing Leggings
(ATLANTA, GA) Exclusive News: (Story by Ken Brooks) Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms on Friday (April 15) said she was denied service at a popular eatery because, well, she was dressed inappropriately, specifically, sporting leggings, according to her tweet. “I was just turned away at @CapitalGrille at Perimeter Mall because I have on leggings,” the CNN commentator posted at 3:30 pm after trying to dine at the Capital Grille at Perimeter Mall.
In a separate tweet, she noted that it was “odd that a restaurant in a mall parking lot turns away customers in ‘mall’ attire.” She asked to sit in the bar area, but was told, “no,” rules are the rules. She then observed another woman enter the restaurant without an issue. She did not say how the other woman was dressed but wonder if she was gonna get denied. A Twitter commenter pointed out that the restaurant does have a dress code. Indeed, Capital Grille’s website contains a “polite notice” about its dress code. “For the comfort of all guests and to better deliver on our promise of a refined atmosphere, proper dress is required. Thank you for not wearing: gym attire, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or images, exposed undergarments,” the notice says. Checkout the former mayor’s tweets now below:

Odd that a restaurant in a mall parking lot turns away customers in “mall” attire. Asked if I could sit in the bar area and was told, “No.”. Rules are the rules, just wonder if the woman who came in immediately after me, who I did not see come back out, was also denied service. https://t.co/4GRq97cwGP
